Uttaran Partners with Maestro Bickram Ghosh for “Transformation” – A Musical Revolution in Bengaluru
On Friday, 14th March 2025, Uttaran proudly joined hands with the legendary Bickram Ghosh to present his groundbreaking musical experience "Transformation" at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru.
Bickram Ghosh, a maestro in Indian Classical, Fusion, and Film music, showcased his latest act that bridges traditional Indian music with a bold, electronic soundscape. The son of tabla maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh and trained under Vidwaan S. Sekhar and Pandit Ravi Shankar, Bickram’s journey has always been rooted in tradition while embracing innovation.
"Transformation" is a reflection of his evolving artistry—introducing electric counterparts of Indian instruments like the sitar, sarod, veena, violin, and more. This event celebrated the modern renaissance of Indian Classical Music by fusing rhythm, melody, and digital sounds.
A Star-Studded Ensemble of Talented Artists:
Anjana Padmanabhan – Winner of the first Indian Idol Junior at age 10, Anjana's soul-stirring voice and rigorous training make her one of India’s emerging musical talents.
Mahesh Raghvan – Known for pioneering the digital instrument GeoShred, Mahesh brings a futuristic edge to Indian Classical Fusion.
Nandini Shankar – A violin virtuoso from a legendary musical lineage, Nandini captivates with emotional depth and flawless technique.
B.C. Manjunath – Master of Konnakol and Mridangam, Manjunath is renowned for rhythmic innovation and boundary-pushing compositions.
Pranav Dath – A versatile percussionist with an energetic fusion style, known for effortlessly merging classical and contemporary elements.
Anay Gadgil – A rising young pianist, Anay is celebrated for his expressive playing and fresh energy in the modern music scene.
The nearly full auditorium resonated with the fusion of classical soul and contemporary energy, leaving the audience in awe of the immersive musical journey.
Uttaran was honored to support the maestro and his team by handling event logistics. In a heartfelt gesture, we also presented a set of Tabla autographed by Bickram Ghosh to young aspiring artists—an initiative aimed at nurturing the love for Indian music in future generations.
