Saraswati Puja & Basant Panchami 2025: A Day of Devotion and Cultural Splendor with Uttaran

On Sunday, 2nd February 2025, Uttaran celebrated Saraswati Puja and Basant Panchami with immense devotion and joy at Manpho Convention Centre, Bengaluru. The event marked not only a day of worship and reverence but also the official launch of Uttaran’s journey as a community-driven association.

Members gathered early in the morning to ensure flawless preparations. The puja began at 1 PM, led by a priest who performed all rituals with solemnity and spiritual precision. Devotees joined in offering Pushpanjali and later shared a traditional Bhog, embracing the spirit of togetherness and gratitude.

The beautiful pandal décor was a collaborative effort by the talented students of Parikrma Humanity Foundation, whose artistic work added vibrance and grace to the celebration.

The evening was lit up by a captivating cultural program. Students from Parikrma enthralled the audience with heartfelt singing and graceful dance performances that celebrated the essence of Indian tradition. The event also featured special performances by:

  • Sunil Koshy – A techie-turned-musician and co-founder of “From Mug To Mike”, whose soulful voice struck a chord with everyone present.

  • Dr. Sai Kaustuv Dasgupta – A celebrated motivational speaker, music composer, and recipient of the National Award for Empowerment of Divyangjan 2023, who moved hearts with his musical renditions and inspiring presence.

As a token of appreciation, Uttaran presented gift hampers to the students of Parikrma, honoring their contribution and talent. The event was attended by nearly 300 visitors, making it a memorable and soulful gathering of art, faith, and humanity.

This celebration not only marked an auspicious start to Uttaran's journey but also reinforced our mission of community, compassion, and cultural expression.
